STEM Scholars Leave Lasting Impression at Professional Conference

APRIL 17
STEM Scholars Make an Impression in Atlanta

Congratulations to our Lawson State STEM scholars who recently attended the Emerging Researchers National (ERN) Conference in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) conference. The event, held in early April in Atlanta, helps undergraduate and graduate students enhance their science communication skills and better understand how to prepare for science careers in a global workforce.

Student leader Kadiatou Diallo, who graduates in May, earned 2nd place in the Computer Sciences and Information Management category of the Undergraduate Research Poster Competition. Kadiatou and her peers, Ariah Robinson and Akira Hubbard, were accompanied by Dr. Shawanda Thomas, director of the STEM program at Lawson State.
