Uwill Services

Uwill Mental Health and Wellness Services now available

Lawson State Community College is pleased to partner with Uwill, a leading student and mental health solution that provides private, secure, and confidential services at no cost to students. Free teletherapy, a direct crisis connection, and wellness options are all available through the Uwill online platform.

"Our students understand that safeguarding their mental health and wellness is just as important as caring for their physical health, and we are here to support them," said LSCC Dean of Students Dr. Cyrus Vance.

Nationally, general anxiety and family distress continue to be among the top mental health issues affecting college students, according to the Center for Collegiate Mental Health.

Services provided through Uwill are a powerful addition to those already offered by the college's Health and Wellness team.

"For some students, managing the pressures of attending college, working, and other obligations can be stressful. We are pleased to provide Uwill services and wellness programming to address what students manage what they are feeling," said Dr. Vance.

How Uwill works for students

Uwill allows Lawson State students to choose a therapist based on their own preferences at a time that fits their schedule. Beyond teletherapy, students can also explore online programs for yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and more.

Uwill's services are also available to Lawson State faculty and staff. The campus community is reminded that anyone experiencing a medical emergency, however, should call 911.
