Looking back at the past and discovering the future, the Lawson State Barbering and Cosmetology students will join forces to deliver a high-quality hair show production.
The event takes place on July 1, 2024 in the auditorium of the A.G. Gaston Building from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Admission will be $5.
"When people come to the Hair Show they can expect three hours of pure fun, while learning some new techniques to use on their skin, hair and nails. Seeing the extraordinary hairstyles and designs will give the audience a unique glimpse inside our programs and the hard work the students do on a daily basis," said Pier Wilkerson, Chair for Service Careers.
The work featured will date back to the 1970s and 1980s, showcasing the trendy fashion and hair styles of that era. The students will move forward through the 1990s sharing hair, skin and nail elegance and end the production with looks from the 2000s. The show is to feature a remarkable journey through the decades with an emphasis on hair, skin and nails, the fashion, music and lights will be an added bonus.
