The Emergency Medical Services Technician Program is designed to train EMS professionals. EMS Techs provide emergency and immediate direct care to patients. Many EMS Technicians continue their education and take advantage of advanced training opportunities that target critical care or community paramedics, while others serve as supervisors, managers, directors, or chiefs within EMS agencies across the heathcare spectrum.
The EMT Basic is an entry level job in the EMS industry The median salary for EMS Techniclans in the U.S is around $37K. Many EMS workers continue their education and segway into other healthcare and/or life saving fields to include Paramedic, fire fighting (which has a median salary around $50K) and registered nursing (which has a median salary of $77K).
The EMS certificate program is 10 credits for Basic EMS and 9 additional credits for Advanced EMS. Students can complete their initial certfication in as little as a semester, so get started today.

1. Meet all institutional requirements and be accepted at the college.
2. ORI101 or ORI101T Orientation to College is required
3. Meet the Essential Functions or Technical Standards required by EMS.
4. Receipt of completed application for the EMT-Basic Program.
NOTE: No Application is required to enroll in this program.
