Welding Technology

Welding Technology

The Welding Technology program covers theory and practice in all types of welding: shielded metal arc, oxy-fuel, gas metal arc, and gas tungsten arc welding. Students in the program are educated in the proper use of tools and equipment, safety, and blueprint reading while practicing welding joints in all positions and on all types of metals.

Benefits of Choosing Welding

The Welding Technology program is a member of the American Welding Society (AWS) and has an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) on staff.  The program has incorporated the AWS SENSE program and the NC3 Lincoln LEEPS program into its curriculum allowing the program to award stackable welding certifications to qualified students.  Skilled welders are in great demand, and the outlook for employment remains good as the manufacturing and construction industries continue to grow.
