Robotics

Robotics is a branch of engineering that involves the conception, design, manufacture, and operation of robots. In the Robotics program, students learn to understand computers, electrical and electronic systems, and sensor and feedback principles and gain the skills needed to install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair robots and automated production systems.

Benefits of Choosing Robotics

As the robotic industry is evolving, the demand for graduates with the technical and creative ability to work in this area is increasing. There's no end to the possibilities of what robotic intelligence can achieve. The skills developed studying robotics ones that involve both hardware and software alongside problem solving mean graduates are suitable for several different industries including manufacturing, space exploration, transport, healthcare, and telecommunications.

The Robotics program at Lawson State has provided me with instruction and training on a variety of equipment.  The coursework is so interesting, and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable with lots of industry experience.  I've had the opportunity to be a work-study in the manufacturing department, and the experience has allowed me to learn about all of the manufacturing programs at the College.  When I complete the Robotics program, I would like to continue my studies at Lawson in electronics.
