The Automotive Mechanics program prepares students for a career as an automotive technician on all makes and models of vehicles.

With a focus on hands-on experiences, students learn to diagnose and repair problems in engines, drive trains, brakes, electrical systems, suspensions, and transmission systems. The program prepares students for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.  Graduates obtain jobs in car dealerships, independent repair shops, and other related areas.

Program Requirements

This program offers a Short Certificate, a Certificate, and an Associate in Occupational Technologies Degree in Automotive Mechanics with a minor in Business or Medium/Heavy Truck Technician.

This certificate is designed to expand your knowledge in the field and equips you with hands-on experience in automotive repair. 

The short certificate is two semesters of coursework that will prepare you to enter the workforce.
