Alabama Teachers' Retirement System

TRS provides a defined benefit plan qualified under Section 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.  All regular full-time and part-time employees (non-temporary and non- student) who work at least 20 hours per week are required to participate in The Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama.  For more information visit The Teachers' Retirement Systems website.
