If a Federal Financial Aid recipient withdraws before completing 60% of the semester/term, federal regulations require Lawson State to return a prorated amount to the Department of Education. The student will be required to pay all or part of any Financial Aid awarded to them.
Other Forms may be required, in addition to the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid): for Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023, and any terms or sessions within those time frames. If you are unsure what forms to choose, try "How To Apply" from - Application Steps from the Financial Aid main web page.

The Department of Education will make the renewal application process available for the 2023/2024 cycle October 1, 2022!
Click here to review the 2022/2023 process and information:
All renewal-eligible applicants will use the Web to reapply for aid because paper Renewal FAFSAs will no longer be printed and mailed. All renewal-eligible applicants can access the Renewal FAFSA on the Web using their Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) to access 2023/2024 information. In order to complete, sign, and submit a 2023/2024 FAFSA or 2023/2024 Renewal FAFSA , students and parents will need to create a FSA Student ID.
FSA Student ID Instructions:
Each aid applicant who meets the eligibility requirements for a 2023-2024 Renewal FAFSA by October 1, 2022, will be sent a Renewal Reminder e-mail or a Renewal Reminder letter between October 1, 2022 and February 2023. With the elimination of the paper Renewal FAFSA, it is particularly important that renewal-eligible students receive a Renewal Reminder, which informs them that they can use the Web to reapply for aid. The Department encourages students to update their address and e-mail address on their 22/23 SAR to ensure the most current e-mail and mailing address information is present.
