Figuratively

Lawson State Community College is giving the world to its students. You can help. Many of our students would not be able to attend Lawson State without our scholarships and financial aid packages. We could not offer these students financial assistance without your help. The Lawson State Foundation gifts allow us to continue to attract and support high caliber students to touch the lives of others with the gift of education.

Investing.... You May Choose to Establish a Scholarship Fund...

A NAMED ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
(The John Doe Endowed Salute to Excellence Scholarship/Award) in which the principle contribution remains intact and only a portion of the interest income is distributed as scholarship. This is a great way to honor or memorialize a friend or family member and help LSCC students at the same time. The endowed level is $5,000, but the fund can be established with a smaller gift.

ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
AN ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP for immediate distribution (within the academic calendar year) may be established with a contribution of any amount. An annual scholarship provides a yearly award to students who meet the criteria established by you and the college. The scholarship may be established with a one-time gift awarded until the funds are diminished or with a designated award amount every year. A one time only scholarship is also available.

AN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship endowments enable you to create a scholarship in perpetuity. A minimum donation of $5,000.00 is required to establish an endowment within the Lawson State Foundation. The principal is invested and a portion of the return is used each year to support the scholarship. If there is any remainder, it is added back to the principal to promote growth and protect against inflation.

PLANNED GIFTS
Provide for the College in your will or trust; turn over a life insurance policy that is no longer needed; or make the College a beneficiary of your retirement plan. These are only a few of the ways that you can limit your tax
liability and help others.

PERSONAL PROPERTY
Tangible personal property is a way of giving to the College. Consider a gift of art, equipment, or automobiles.
