2019 Season Preview
 "Building A Championship Culture"

The Lawson State Community College Volleyball team finished out the 2018 season breaking several school records. In 2019, the team is looking to prove themselves once again and have another outstanding season.The Cougars have five returning sophomores: Mekaila Hill, Takhera Sanders, Monae Rowser, Katherine Jordan and Jamila Wilson as well as two sophomore transfers: Alexis Snow and Genesis Taylor. Coach Wiley and Coach Gill searched for strong recruits to complete their roster and found seven quality players to represent Lawson State. The seven new players consist of Rosa Gambarelli, a setter from Helena High School, Mya Broom, a MB from McAdory High School, Sha’Kevia Hogan, an OH from Spain Park High School, Caitlyn Roland, an OH from Ramsay High School, Perrisha Rowser, a MB from Parker High School, Takila Hill, MB from Montevallo High School and A’Nia Ware, a setter from Snyder High School in TX. 

The Cougars open up the regular season with a tournament at Snead State Community College on August 23rd.
