Track 5:  DE Students Taking Classes at their High School               


 STEP 1:  Complete Application & Secure Signatures

Step 1:  Complete the Dual Enrollment Application. 
Be sure your high school principal and parent/guardian sign it.

 STEP 2:  Get Copy of High School Transcript

Step 2:  Print off a copy of your high school transcript
and attach it to your application.

You must have a 2.5 or higher GPA to participate. 
GPA's at 2.4999 do not qualify.

 STEP 3: Get Proof of ID

Step 3:  Print off a copy of a state issued ID
(any US state) and attach it to your application. 
If you do not have a state issued ID, submit a copy
of your birth certificate along with a copy of your
Student Profile Sheet.

If you do not have a state issued ID and have to
submit your birth certificate along with Student 
Profile Sheet, see your school counselor or high
school main office to secure your Student Profile Sheet.


 STEP 5:  Complete Trial Schedule

Step 5: Print off a copy of Lawson's Trial Schedule
and work with your high school counselor in selecting
what course you will be taking at your high school. 
Once done,  secure the course ID name  (i.e., CIS149) 
and course CRN (course reference numbers (i.e.,03835) 
of the courses you would like to take (at your high school)
from your counselor.  Every high school is given a list of
courses that are taught at their high school, so you must
use this information in completing this step.

NOTE:  Not all high schools offer this program. 
If your high school does not offer classes on their
campus, you can still participate, but you need to
come to the campus of Lawson State for your classes,
or you need to take an online course instead. 
Follow Track 1 or Track 2 in such cases,
depending on your enrollment status.

 STEP 6:  Submit Documents to Counselor

Step 6:  Turn in all completed documents to your
Counselor or other Designated Dual Enrollment
Coordinator at your high school.  Do NOT submit
directly to Lawson State.

DO NOT ATTEND the Orientation Session.  Personnel from
Lawson State will be coming to your schools instead.

 STEP 7:  Complete Registration

Step 7: Final and most important STEP!!! 
Complete your online Dual Enrollment Orientation session. 
This information is available to you 24/7 and includes
a video welcoming to Lawson State.  You will learn
how to print your schedule; get your textbook; login
in student email; login to Blackboard (to access course
information); login Student Suite (to gain access to
 important LSCC information); register for our campus
alert system (Cougar Alert!); and more.
